As part of the on-going discussions within the Region, as to whether we should have an elected Mayor for the North East, please find below a link to  a discussion paper prepared by Patrick Diamond.

The Paper, whilst not endorsing an elected-Mayor model, makes clear that the Region should consider the formation of an indirectly Regional Chamber to scrutinise the work not only of the Mayor, but also the Combined Authority and NE LEP.
